Fall Layouts

This morning it was a cool 67 degrees in Bluffton. I dressed myself and Molly in pants, and Mike came in from the garage needing a long sleeve shirt. It may seem ridiculous to northerners (it would to me if I still lived in Massachusetts) but down here, below 70 is blissful. The crisp air feels great and we love breaking out seasonal clothes. Today I have a fall seasonal scrapbook layout to share with readers – inspired by this great weather!

Kim Schofield created this page commemorating a fall hike in New Hampshire with her family. She's stamped using PSA Vanilla Peel & Stick stamps to spell – "HIKE" and a few decorative bees from PSA Country Home, one of our best selling Peel & Stick stamp sets.

I adore the journaling she has done here. She tells a great story, full of love for her family and the outdoors. Out of curiosity, do readers who scrapbook journal by hand, or by using the computer like Kim has done here? I also use a computer because I think it looks neater.

Kim's layered her papers to add visual interest, used die cuts, textured flowers, and ribbon. Layouts are more interesting with texture. Contrary to what I believe about card making design, the more layers on a scrapbook page the better. Kim's also used a great color combination, the yellow, brown, red, and green really scream Fall in the North East to me!

Tell me you think of this layout today! And what scrapbooking you are doing these days!
