National Candy Day

It’s hard to believe that there would be such a holiday as “National Candy Day” let alone right after the king of all candy holidays, otherwise known as Halloween.  But someone out there decided that November 2nd (in addition to being Election Day) would also be “National Candy Day.”   So naturally, I thought we should celebrate!    Our designers have been cooking up all sorts of sweet projects this month.
This “thanks” candy centerpiece by Amy Kingsford is sure to brighten up anyone’s day.   Wouldn’t this be the perfect thank-you gift to a host of a party?  I could see sending this to a friend after a great party.  The letters are stamped using PSA Essentials Vanilla Peel & Stick Stamps, and the colorful acorn and leaves are edible!  The butterscotch candy is a great filler and adds great color.   When this project came in, I got to thinking  of all sorts of centerpieces and thank-you baskets you could create.    The possibilities are endless!

For National Candy Day, Stephanie Jones created an “Emergency Chocolate” gift bag.   Love this idea!   She used PSA Essentials Smirk “Many Moods” Peel & Stick Stamps.    If you were in a down mood, couldn’t use see diving into this “Emergency Chocolate”?   I plan on recreating something similar and giving it out the next girls night.

Steph used Smirk Many Moods to stamp a recipe for Devil’s Food Cookies.   This is such a southern hospitality custom – when you bake cookies and give them to people, include the recipe on a card so they can add to their recipe collection and recreate when they want to!

I just ordered a personalized PSA Essentials Stamp with the outer ring that says:  “From the kitchen of Libby O’Regan.”   If you are one of those people that’s constantly baking, canning, jarring, cooking and giving to others – I suggest you purchase one too!    For a list of dealers and store near you,  check out:  http://www.psaessentials.com/storelocations.htm
