Bridal Week – Day 2

Mike and I got married in 2008. Almost three years ago, and I STILL find myself gushing over wedding magazines at the grocery store and checking out wedding blogs. http://www.kenziekate.blogspot.com/ is one of my favorites. So is Snippet and Ink , as I shared yesterday. Weddings can be so magical. I think that's the attraction.
Many weddings start with a theme. Be it garden chic, hotel trendy, beach casual, or backyard boho, usually the bride and groom have a sense of what style they'd like. Another early on decision is color scheme, since the save the date, invitation, wedding website, flowers, decorations, and favors tend to follow this unified color scheme. Mara Campbell designed some beautiful wedding crafts for us using red, black and white throughout. Can you say February wedding?

First she created this lovely save the date that could be used as a bookmark.   She got a stamp made: "Susan and Luke's Wedding 2011" and used it throughout her creations. This keeps each piece unified nicely.

Next, she created this beautiful invitation. It's fancier than the save the date and coordinates beautifully. See the detail the invitation overlay, which I have slid down so you can see the invitation.  It really adds something extra and would package a response card or directions well.

Thank-you notes are a MUST.  Here's an idea from Mara that coordinates beautifully.

Tomorrow I will show you the favors and the placecard settings Mara created to go along with this package! Leave a comment today and let us know – what were your wedding colors? If you aren't married, what are your dream wedding colors? Mine were coral and navy blue…
