Supper Club & Thank-you cards

Nineteen months ago, I met some really great women in a support group at Hilton Head Hospital.  Karen and Ashley are both moms to kiddos Molly's age, and we've developed a wonderful friendship founded on no sleep and little clue as to what we were doing. During the first few months, we got together with our babies, swapped concerns, ideas, and stories. Recently supper club was established. We get babysitters and have adult time with our husbands! We take turns hosting, here we are at Ashley's in February and at Karen's in March. (Terra and her husband Joe are also part of supper club.)

Last week, Karen made an incredible meal with so much food. She made shrimp seviche, homemade plantains, a chicken and corn soup, spice rubbed kabobs, spinach salad & cold cake. All delicious! She put in so much work, time and effort into the meal, and we had a great time.

Wouldn't it be great to follow-up a supper club night with a handmade thank-you note? Here are two amazing ideas! The first is by Jennifer Holmes, she's stamped using PSA Rosettas and grapefruit ink pink, and then colored them in with a turquoise marker. She's layered this onto a turquoise base and used her Cricut to spell "thanks", which she's then adhered on a tag with a button. Adorable!

The next one is by Anthonette Chavez. It is charming and romantic. She's stamped the Eifel Tour from PSA Frenchie. I love the colors, rounded corner, and heart doily. Very sweet!

Do you send thank-you cards after a dinner party? I think it's a good practice, don't you?

  4. You can never go wrong with a Thank You card - especially if it's a thanks for being my friend card ! The cards are great, love the Cricut "thanks", and now that I have a v1 Cricut (yes, it's old, but from a dear friend for next to nothing), and 3 whole cartridges, I'm looking forward to crafting more. Hmmm...maybe I need to make a TY card for the gal I got the cricut from ! BTW - lovely smile on your face, Miss Libby !
