Easter Crafts: Crochet Eggs and Ribbon {Giveaway Week}

Welcome to Day 2 of Easter Week at PSA Stamp Camp.   We are sharing great Easter crafting ideas all week long.  Be sure to enter our giveaway at the end of the post! You can win Peel & Stick stamps just in time for Easter.

Mae Armstrong wanted to create an Easter decoration that can be used year after year.   She’s been admiring the crochet eggs from Easy Makes Me Happy by Tara Murray so she followed the free pattern for crocheting them.   You can follow the pattern too and check out Tara's amazing blog and her Etsy store if you'd rather just purchase these gorgeous crochet designs.

To recreate, Mae used Sugar 'n Cream yarn in Lime Stripes, Daisy Ombre, Natural Stripes and Country Stripes. This is the perfect combination for Easter.

Be sure to stuff the egg carefully and massage the fiber so it's evenly distributed.  Look how beautiful all of them turned out!  Mae admits this project takes a good amount of time –but worth it.

If you can bare to part with them and want to give them as a gift, save up an egg tray and paint over it with white paint to cover the label.   Let it dry for at least 1 hour.   Paint the other side bright yellow and set aside to dry.

While the last coat of egg carton dries, prepare your fabric ribbon.    Mae alternated with stamps PSA Topiary and Little Bunny Peel & Stick.  Up first:  the watering can.

She also used the bird from Little Bunny.

Aren’t the ribbons so pretty?  It’s a fun, shabby chic look.   A full ribbon tutorial coming soon!

Wrap your carton with your fabric for an amazing gift!

Isn’t this project amazing!?  Now time to enter!
