Easter Crafts: Fabric Carrots {Giveaway Week}

Welcome to PSA Stamp Camp’s Easter Week!   While some of you are busy crafting for St. Patty’s Day, we are fast forwarding and prepping for my personal favorite crafting holiday – Easter.    I just love the colors of Easter, the anticipation or arrival of spring, all of the candy, and the great crafts out there.   At the end of this craft inspired week,  PSA Essentials is giving away 1 stamper, 1 Little Bunny Peel & Stick pack, 1 Topiary Peel & Stick pack and 2-color ink to one lucky person.    Enter below all week long.

Our design team member Mae Armstrong is handy with a needle and thread and is a talented graphic designer – so this project impressed me immensely.   She created fabric carrots for Easter celebrations.   Use them as pretend produce for your kid’s kitchen when the season is over, and use them in Easter baskets and as decorations now.   Simply adorable!

Here's a quick tutorial on how to make your own!  Start with this FREE pattern created by Mae.

Trim fabric according to the pattern carrot body and leaves. If you are doing a bunch of them it's easier to get everything cut, sew all sides and stuff.

Sew the long triangle pieces on each side, turn it over and stuff with fiber fill. Use a wooden stick to evenly distribute the filling.

Sew a running stitch around the top of the carrot pull the thread and gather the opening. Add 3 pieces of leaves before sealing the top. You'll have a clean finish with hard to pull carrot leaves.

To finish off the fabric carrot, take a plain tan fabric and use your PSA Essentials Peel & Stick Topiary "Happy Easter" to stamp the sentiment on to fabric.  Mae also added a bunny silhouette and used my Silhouette SD to trim the image.

Use raffia to tie the bunny silhouette around the carrot.

Voila! Happy Easter!
