I am pleased to announce the 2011-2012 PSA Essentials Design Team! Seven of our talented card makers are staying with us, so with over 100 applications to narrow it down to six people was extremely difficult. The talent pool was incredible. Ultimately we were looking for new styles and people that will showcase PSA Essentials Peel & Stick stamps differently than before. Meet these talented ladies!
Meet Kim Schofield, Scrapbooker Extraordinare!
Kim Schofield is a scrapbooker extraordinaire from Fremont, NH. She is currently also on the Sweet 'n Sassy and Say It with Letters design teams, has been published in Scrapbook News & Review and CARDS magazines and is Copic Certified. She's been a CAS Card winner on Splitcoast Stamper, a winner in Papertrey ink contests, and just recently had a card highlighted on The Cat's Pajamas Facebook page. Though her background as traditionally been in card making, after working for and teaching in her local scrapbook store, she decided to try her hand at scrapbooking. Turns out she's good. She believes her ideas actually flow more freely with scrapbooking than card making. Visit her blog at: http://paperiepetals.blogspot.com/ and take a peek at her work here.
Meet Vera WiriantaYates, a whimsical, CAS carmaker!
It's true. I accepted one more card maker. But I couldn't help this one. Vera has been published 5 times in the last year in Paper Crafts Magazine, one of our favorites here at PSA Essentials. She also has two more cards coming out in CARDS and The Stamp It Special Edition. She lives in Sugar Land, TX and is on the Some Odd Girl, Wee Memories, May Arts, Lawnscaping & A Day of Daises design teams. She was on Paper Crafts 2010 Gallery Idol Top 5 and 2011 Stamping Royalty Honorable Mentions. Her clean and simple style will really highlight PSA Essentials and I am a sucker for someone who isn't scared of white space. Visit her blog http://www.lingshappyplace.blogspot.com/ and here's a peek at some of Vera's work.
Meet Mandi Hadfield, home décor specialist & artist!
From Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada – you will find it hard to believe this is Mandi's first design team when you see her work! Her specialty is vinyl lettering and creating beautiful pieces of artwork on canvas and other materials. She was chosen to expand PSA Essentials stamp uses beyond card making & scrapbooking. She envisions using our stamps in home décor projects using canvas, mirrors, glass, tiles, wood… and she thinks the possibilities are endless! Get ready to see some artwork from Mandi! Visit her blog http://www.stikmup.blogspot.com/ and take a peek of her work here.
Meet Heidi Ferguson, the quilter!
The quilter? But this is a stamping blog? I know. But Heidi is super talented and we are going to see how she incorporates stamping with PSA Essentials Peel & Stick stamps into her quilting, sewing and home décor projects. Her DIY projects have been featured on the popular and highly visible blogs: Tatertots & Jello, Today's Creative Blog, UCreate, Centsational Girl, The Inspired Room, Tip Junkie and several others. She has two boys - her proudest creation – and is the sole designer and creator of all the puff quilts and baby bedding sold at her business, Honey Bear Lane. Visit her blog: http://www.honeybearlane.com/ and check out a few examples of her work here:
Meet Angie Holden, our design for less DIY designer!
You see something in Pottery Barn, or your favorite home décor catalog, but it costs an arm and a leg. Enter Angie Holden to help you create the same project for a fraction of the price. Most people want that magazine look for their home but don't have the budget to create it. With a little creativity and DIY imitative, anyone can have that magazine cover to their home. And see how she's going to do it with PSA Essentials stamps! Visit her blog at http://www.thecountrychiccottage.net/ and peek here at some of her work.
Meet Mae Armstrong, a DIY party planner & step-by-step crafting instructor!
From Raleigh, NC, Mae Armstrong is the mother of twin boys and had me with pictures of their 1st birthday party. It's something straight out of a Martha Stewart magazine. She's a skilled graphic designer – fluent in Illustrator, Photoshop, and others that I am dying to master. Her work has been featured on Tip Junkie, Catch my Party, My Party Impressions, Spaceships and Laser Beams, Pure Joy Events, Polka Dot Party, Sheek Shindigs, Blowout Party, Pirates and Princesses, A to Zebra, A Chi Chi Affair, Kinderplays and Little Monster Studio. Best of all for our readers, Mae offers great tutorials and step-by-step instructions on how to create projects. Witness this step by step tutorial on party hats and visit her blog http://maearmstrong.blogspot.com/ and see what had me from the minute I saw her here.
