A Bookmark, Notepad & Journal

There is something really nice about turning pages, the smell of a new book, the weathered look of an old one, and the creative cover art of books. If you are still reading physical books and are putting off the Kindle and iPad, I have something for you! Or if you have a bookworm friend and want to give a crafty gift – check out this idea from Jennifer Holmes. She created a bookmark using our newest Peel & Stick collection, Maxine.

Always witty and with a take-it-or-leave-it attitude, Maxine sentiments never disappoint. Like this one Jennifer used: "I love my attitude problem" from PSA's "I am Woman" Peel & Stick. Peeking out at the bottom of the book mark, she stamped the adorable dog and shaded him with her Copics. She really brought him to life here by coloring him in and shading!

Jen also created a post-it notepad. She stamped "Blah Blah Blah" from Maxine "Young at Heart." This is surely the PERFECT sentiment to go on a post-it note holder! I love the graphic nature of the written words – I love how they don't necessarily complete each time, it's so artistic.

Last to show you today, Jennifer created a journal. She stamped "Everyone's entitled to my opinion" (one that I have a REAL affinity for…) from Young at Heart. The black & white twine tied around the edge really adds to the design and it all works very well together.

The whole set coordinates very well and the ensemble would be a great gift, don't you think?

Be sure to check out Maxine Peel & Stick packs! See you tomorrow with more great ideas for Maxine.
