Monday Inspiration Challenge: 1/10/11

Welcome back to another Monday Inspiration Challenge! Before we get to that, I want to announce that starting tomorrow at PSA Stamp Camp, we will be hosting bridal week! We will be featuring designs of invitations, save the dates, table toppers, cards, favors and much more here all week long. Even if you aren't getting married or are already married, you will be inspired by these great designs. I got married in 2008 and I am still a wedding junkie… some of my favorite magazines and blogs are wedding ones. Wedding designs can be so beautiful and inspirational, I hope you will enjoy what we have to share.

All over the country, including where we are in the South, it's COLD. We needed some color and an image of spring flowers to warm us up and inspire. This was last week's inspiration image:

Our design team member Mara Campbell participated this week. She stamped the sentiment "Live well, laugh often, love much" from PSA Dare to Dream. The Dare to Dream collection is made entirely of great sentiments like this one. (My favorite is "live for the moment.") I love the flower she created using fabric. Adding fabric to your design is such a great way to add texture, texture creates a more visually interesting design.

Up next is Kandi Phillips, she's not on our design team but is a writer for Craft Critique.com. Craft Critique is a site we love. They are featuring us in a few weeks! Kandi stamped the bouquet of flowers from PSA Bouquet Toss and colored them up. She has a real passion for die cutting and she's experimenting here with a few different ones. She blogged about her card here: www.kraftykandikrafts.blogspot.com.

This week, let's move away from Pink – shall we? In keeping with the bridal theme for the week, I have chosen a photograph by Jack Affleck. I found it on the website for Vail, Colorado under the wedding galleries. His work is stunning, you can check his work here http://www.jaffleck.com/. I got married on the beach in Hilton Head, SC so a mountain wedding is so intriguing! The backdrop is breathtaking. There's a lot that can translate into your paper crafts here: the bow and fabric of the dress, the purple, the wild grass, the jagged edges of the mountains, even the framing of the photograph. I can't wait to see what people come up with here, there's really a lot of room to be creative. Feel free to stretch it!

See you tomorrow for the start of bridal week!
