Florida beaches, road trips to visit Grandma & Grandpa, trips to the zoo or aquarium. That’s what some people are doing for spring break this year. Us? We are grounded at home in potty training boot camp. My 2.5 year old daughter refuses the potty and very deliberately goes in her diaper. The other day I asked her why she didn’t use the potty (yet again) and she said – “Because I love my diaper, Mommy. Everyone is different!” My first inclination is not to push her – she’ll do it when she’s ready. But with Baby 2.0 due in less than 6 weeks, we have to get this done and my pediatrician agrees. So this spring break, we’re having a party to throw away all the diapers and pull-ups, we’re going shopping for new underwear and a sturdy stool…. and some carpet cleaner.
This adorable spring break card by Vera Yates uses UBU Beach Bucket Peel & Stick stamps. These characters are holding beach buckets, sitting in chairs with a drink, building sandcastles, snorkeling, flying a kite and catching waves. They’re the perfect spring & summer stamp set to illustrate your cards and scrapbook layouts. Of course, coloring up your stamps always helps bring them to life.
I remember the days when spring break meant dancing on table tops in Acapulco. Oh how times have changed! Tell us about your spring break plans today – what are you up to?
